Cody Ross hit a three-run double in the ninth inning to push the Marlins past the Nationals, 7-4, and increase their franchise-best start to 11-1.
Florida has won seven consecutive games.
"I think it just goes back to that confidence," said Ross. "Everyone in here, we have a lot of confidence in our lineup.
"It's nice to get off to these hot starts, and having these hitting streaks. The key is to have that same intensity when we do lose. We're not going to go 161-1. When we do lose, we have to keep that same intensity that we've had these last few days."
